Atlanta Falcons wide receiver/kick returner Eric Weems has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his franchise-record 102-yard kickoff return sparked the Falcons to a 28-24 come-from-behind win at Tampa Bay last Sunday.

Weems has averaged 28.1 yards per return so far this season, which is the second best average in the NFL.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Bethune-Cookman University, Weems is having one of the best seasons of his career and is on pace for a career-high 1,313 return yards.
