ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons have traded receiver Laurent Robinson to the St. Louis Rams, allowing the Falcons to move up in the fifth and sixth rounds of this month's NFL draft.
The Falcons exchanged picks in the fifth and sixth rounds with the Rams in Monday's trade. Atlanta moved up 22 spots in the fifth round, to 160th overall, and 20 spots in the sixth round, to No. 196 overall.
Robinson, a third-round pick in 2007, had only five catches for 52 yards while playing in only six games last season. He had 37 catches for 437 yards and a touchdown as a rookie in 2007.
