Hanson earns elusive win, Braves beat Marlins 6-2

ATLANTA — David Ross and Andrelton Simmons raced home on left fielder Bryan Petersen's costly error, sending Tommy Hanson and the Atlanta Braves to a 6-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Thursday night. Hanson (13-9) allowed two runs, one earned, and six hits in 5 1-3 innings for his first win since July 30, also against Miami. The right-hander was 0-4 with a 5.06 ERA in his previous seven starts.
