After wrapping up a series against  San Diego on Sunday night, the Braves head back into interleague play tonight, continuing a West Coast swing with a three-game series in Seattle.

Tonight, Brandon Beachy (2-1, 3.22 ERA) goes to the mound for Atlanta against Seattle’s Erik Bedard (4-5, 2.93). In his last outing, Beachy set a career record last Wednesday with 11 strikeouts in a win against Toronto. It was his first outing with Atlanta since straining an oblique muscle on May 13.

In Game 2 of the series, Tommy Hanson (8-4, 2.48) will get the ball. He’s endured his own health problems, missing his past two starts with a sore shoulder.

In his past 10 starts, he’s been 7-1 with a 2.02 ERA. Hanson’s season-high in strikeouts was 14 against the Houston Astros on June 13.

In the final game of the series, Derek Lowe (3-6, 4.66) will pitch against Seattle’s Felix Hernadez (8-6, 3.19). He’s been the coldest of Braves pitchers with an 0-2 record and 7.31 ERA in his last three starts.

After a day off on Thursday, the Braves return home to face the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.

Atlanta only has 13 games remaining until the All-Star Break.

GWINNETT BRAVES: After wrapping up a three-game set against the Columbus Clippers today, the Triple-A G-Braves head down to face the Louisville Bats for another three games, part of a 10-game road trip.

Last week, Gwinnett opened up with a four-game split with the Syracuse Chiefs.
