Cole Segraves went 16-of-23 passing for 130 yards and a touchdown to lead White County to a 21-13 win over Franklin County on Friday at Ed Bryant Stadium in Carnesville.
Ashely Lowery had a 5-yard touchdown run and a 67-yard punt return to inside the Franklin County 10-yard line for White County (8-1, 5-0).
"It was a dogfight like we knew it would be," White County coach Tommy Flowery said. "We've won a lot of close games by the same number of points that (Franklin County) has lost them by, so we knew it would going to be a struggle.
"Our kids and their kids played hard."
Patrick Jones was on the end of a 38-yard touchdown pass from Segraves and Ethan McCallister led the Warriors with four catches for 61 yards.
Adam Hooper had the other score for White County, a 3-yard rush. The Warriors will play Gainesville in the Region 8-AAA title game at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Cleveland.
