Led by a defense that allowed only 77 total yards (50 rushing, 27 passing), Lakeview Academy defeated Georgia Military 31-0 Friday in Milledgeville.
Nick Drury began the scoring for Lakeview with a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. In that same quarter, Will Kendrick blocked a punt on the Georgia Military 16-yard line, Mills Rogers hit a 32-yard field goal and Jackson Well hits Trevor Price with a 52-yard touchdown pass to put Lakeview up 17-0 at halftime.
The Lions would pull away in the third quarter after a Drury sack of the quarterback forced a fumble, which was recovered and taken into the end zone by Alex Oliver to make the score 24-0.
Wells would add a 22-yard touchdown run in the third to put the score at 31-0, where it would remain.
Ted Reynolds led the Lakeview defense with two interceptions and Price added nine tackles on the night.
