Habersham Central won its second straight game Friday with a 29-23 comeback victory over White County in Cleveland.
Trailing by 9 in the final minutes of the game, the Raiders charged back for victory a pair of touchdown throws by quarterback Cole Wilbanks.
The first touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter was to Jake Jones with 3:46 left to play. After a successful onside kick attempt, Wilbanks found Aaron Wood for the winning touchdown strike.
Wilbanks finished with 173 passing yards for the Raiders, who are 2-0 for the first time since 1990. Wood finished with 114 yards receiving, while running back Michael Babers carried the ball for 149 yards.
On Friday, Habersham Central plays host to Franklin County in Mount Airy. White County visits Rabun County next week.
