This is regarding a video in class that we watched the other day. It was called "America No. 1." The video reflected current struggles throughout three nations. These nations differed as to what our nation has. These nations withhold news on starvation, homeless people and other economic problems.
According to the movie, many human beings were trying to get into America, dead or alive. I felt this was a horrific sight. You would figure that if these nations were in so much trouble with starvation, homeless people and other problems that someone would do something to help them.
The reason I'm writing isn't to prove anything, but to ask a question. Despite what we hear from television news reporters, is America No. 1? Or are we going to believe the misprints and rumors? We wouldn't be listening to such reports if we took a look around to see some of the less fortunate countries.

Karate classes help promote fun, fitness
Do you want to open the door to friendship, fun and fitness? I am encouraging anyone who reads this to take karate. I have been taking karate in Oakwood for five years and I have found many benefits.
First, self defense is very important to learn. In today's world we hear of much danger of kidnapping and of people getting hurt. Children and women in particular need to know how to defend themselves.
Second, self discipline is a very important thing to learn. Karate teaches you to follow instructions for your safety and avoid getting hurt. It helps you to set goals and achieve them through practice and commitment.
Third, karate offers fun and fitness. By taking karate I have found that I have made new friends and have trained to compete in tournaments, and at the same time I have gotten physically fit.
I encourage all parents to enroll their kids in karate. Make a lifestyle choice; karate is the place to be!
