It's always what they don't tell you about going in debt that you should worry about. Every Hall County taxpayer should call their government representatives, both local and state levels, and ask them one question: How are you going to get the water from the reservoirs to my home or business and what is that engineering undertaking of pump stations and pipe systems going to cost?

They do not want you to ask that question, and those large debt numbers are not talked about. After the developers build the pretty houses around the new lake reservoirs and the money is made for local governments, what guarantee do we have that the system will be completed and what final debt number will we be left with?

Georgia taxpayers better wake up and realize that we will be holding the bag of debt once again, while not solving our water problems in a smart and cost-effective way.

Most conservationists who look after our rivers and lakes will tell you there is a cheaper, better way to address our water needs.

Unless taxpayers speak up and stop this waste of our money, we are going to be holding the bill long after elected officials leave office.
