On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I wish to congratulate E. Wycliffe “Wyc” Orr Sr. of Orr & Brown LLP in Gainesville on receiving the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Southern Center for Human Rights. Mr. Orr is well deserving of this prestigious honor, which recognizes his “service in the public interest, his leadership in building and fortifying Georgia’s public defender system and his courage for speaking up on behalf of those who cannot.” All Georgia lawyers can be proud of the recognition bestowed on our esteemed colleague for his service, which reminds us of our ongoing responsibilities to serve others and help fulfill the constitutional promise of justice for all.
