Where I live there is a police car that sits in the driveway of this house on the corner of the street. As I do not go out at night, I can only assume that the policeman that lives there is on the night shift.

My mom stated to me that it is there when she goes out on Saturday night but gone when she returns around 11:30 p.m. to midnight. Is this vehicle used during the weekday night shift or just weekends?

I feel our taxpayers' money would be better utilized if this vehicle and all others in similar instances be shared and used for all shifts. How many other taxpayer purchases sit around unused a very long part of the week. Any responses?
