November is National Adoption Month. How appropriate as I am so very thankful for the blessings of my two adopted daughters!

Over the 12-plus years since becoming a parent, I have been asked many questions. Some people are truly interested, others just plain thoughtless. Things people have said: How much did they cost? (They are priceless!) Don't you want children of your own? (Yes, they are my own.) Why didn't their birth moms love them? (They loved them by carrying them in their womb for nine months and making an adoption plan to ensure they have a good life.)

When are you going to tell them they are adopted? (Adoption is not a shameful secret; it is a blessing to celebrate.) You really have your hands full. Yes I do ... full of blessings.

Thank you, Lord, for the many families who have been built through adoption!
