Letter: John Stossel cherry picked car crash, other data in latest column

It is always interesting to glance at the John Stossel column, looking for a bit of wisdom to justify the Trump presidency. The Aug. 23 column was no different from his other columns; he cherry picks the data to justify his support of Trump and his lack of support of Obama. The specific item that struck home in this column was his assertion that "cars built smaller to comply with Obama .. (mileage rules) cause increased deaths." There is no reference to justify Stossel's assertion, so I went to the Wikipedia article on the internet that references the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data, which covers traffic deaths back to 1900.
