Thankfully, the impeachment charade is over and, as expected, the Senate has acquitted President Trump on the charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. It was a shameless, needless waste of time, energy and taxpayer money.
Over the past three years, Democrats have been obsessed with ousting a duly elected president and interfering in the 2020 election. Yet, an undeterred President Trump has fulfilled a host of his campaign promises while enduring intense hatred, harassment and hurdles from desperate Democrats.
For example, the Democrats spied on President Trump after submitting an unverified dossier to the FISA court that was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee. But when Clinton lost in a stunning 2016 presidential election, the in-denial Democrats screamed impeachment as President Trump moved into the White House.
It got worse. After a leak by James Comey, the then-FBI director, the Democrats called for a special investigation into President Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia. When this 22-month, $32 million probe cleared Trump of such an allegation, the frustrated Democrats asked Robert Mueller, the special investigator, to testify before Congress. Mueller’s dazed performance was a disaster.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a so-called whistle blower alleged that President Trump withheld aid to Ukraine in exchange for an investigation of Joe Biden, a political opponent. It sparked more demands for impeachment, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said not without “bipartisan support.” It was a lie akin to President Obama’s “you can keep your doctor and health insurance plan” promise over what would become Obamacare.
Nevertheless, Democrats continued to waste time sabotaging President Trump while he was busy doing what the people elected him to do. A massive tax cut was passed and regulations were slashed. The stock market soared to record highs and the economy roared. Major trade deals were signed with Canada, Mexico, China, Japan and Europe. Manufacturing plants returned, wages rose and the unemployment rate sank to a five-decade low of 3.4%.
Moreover, ISIS was decimated and two notorious terrorist leaders were eliminated. America became the world leader in oil and natural gas production, freeing us from Middle East fuel dependence. Sanctions were increased on North Korea and Iran. The U.S. embassy in Israel was moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and a peace plan was offered to the Palestinians.
Additionally, illegal immigration dropped dramatically due to a big wall being built on our southern border and Mexico protecting its southern border. Our military was rebuilt. Two conservative justices were appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump addressed the March for Life, the first president to participate at this anti-abortion event.
I could go on, but the message is clear. While Democrats are focused on destroying President Trump, his eye is on winning for the American people. And when you consider that Trump’s main presidential rivals are Joe “Gaffe Machine” Biden, Bernie “Socialist” Sanders, Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren and Pete “Boot-Edge-Edge” Buttigieg, the president should enjoy a landslide victory on Nov. 3. Thanks, Democrats!
