I would like to commend Jeff Gill for the excellent article he wrote about Zack Addington. I grew up with Zack and can say that no one could have a better friend.

I went to church with him at Concord Baptist, school at Clermont and North Hall, and in Boy Scout Troop 259. We went through the Order of the Arrow ordeal together in Boy Scouts.

We walked all over Wauka Mountain, Long Mountain and in the woods around Clermont hiking, camping and hunting. Zack was loyal to his family, friends, fellow Scouts and church. I don’t think he ever met a stranger.

I would also like to thank James Young for being our Scoutmaster and Sunday school teacher. He is a special man.

There are enough memories about growing up in these years in Clermont to write a book, and I think that we will all see Zack again some day to talk about them.

Zack was the type of son every parent would want because of his character. He had so many talents to offer the world.
