The willingness to run the “God Bless America” ad on page 6 of The Times on July 4 gives me a new appreciation for this paper’s management. The quotes in the ad leave little doubt that this country was created to be a Christian nation, and it has only been in the last 55 years that courts and elected officials have tried to erase that notion. In the past, God has found strong leaders when they were needed.
