After reading the article on immigration Thursday (“Report says immigrants boost state’s economic fortunes”) featuring Jerry Gonzalez and Debra Pilgrim, I felt the need to talk to all the immigrants in our community. 

Please know that many many people in this community are very glad you are living and contributing to your/our community. I have noticed a great work ethic and I admire the family bond you have brought to our area. I’m a Republican and I agree with the need to be a legal immigrant.

I do not want all the discussion about the undocumented immigrants to make the great people here legally feel they are not appreciated. Many in this community welcome you and are glad you are a part of our lives.
