ZF Wind Power, a manufacturer of wind turbine gearboxes, plans to add more than 100 jobs at its Gainesville plant, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.The $98 million plant, located in the Gainesville Business Park at 1925 New Harvest Drive, opened last September. It currently employs 150 people.The expansion is planned to meet a surge in demand for wind turbines. There are more than 90 such plants around the Southeast.The Germany-based company’s North American headquarters is in Northville, Mich.Gainesville’s ZF Group also encompasses ZF Industries, a plant opened in 1987 that makes transmissions and axles.
