Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman in the parking lot of the U.S. Post Office on Limestone Parkway today.

Gainesville Police Sgt. Johnny Ray said that at about 12:45 p.m. a man approached a woman in the parking lot of the post office at 2490 Limestone Parkway and showed her what appeared to be a handgun, demanding money.

The woman turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber fled in a 1980s model black Chevrolet Camaro, Ray said.

The robbery victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male with blonde hair, wearing a blue, striped shirt and jeans.
