A woman was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital after her van rolled over her in a gas station parking lot.

The accident happened about 6 p.m. Friday at the Chevron on Browns Bridge Road near the Hall County-Forsyth County line.

Authorities said the woman was outside her Ford van when it began to roll in the parking lot.

She tried to get back in the van to stop it, fell out and the van rolled over her body, authorities said.

The woman was conscious and alert after the accident but was being airlifted for trauma compression injuries. Her condition was not immediately known.
