Hall County took in nearly $10 million in special purpose local option sales tax revenue from July through October, setting a higher pace than in recent years. That money has already helped pay for upgrades to the emergency 911 phone system. The previous network was outdated, officials said, and discontinued parts had to be used to stretch the lifespan of the network.
