Gainesville High School’s junior ROTC will host a vigil Saturday for the four Marines killed in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The event will be 7 p.m. at The Rock on Pearl Nix Parkway by Gainesville High School.

Cadet Lt. Alexx Smith said the JROTC wanted to host the event especially because one of the victims was from Marietta, one of their rival schools.

Lance Cpl. Squire “Skip” Wells was a field artillery cannoneer in his early 20s. The Pentagon said Wells had enlisted in February 2014.
