A man killed Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a van on Thompson Bridge Road near Kroger in Gainesville was identified Friday as a 35-year-old Buford man.

Georgia State Patrol Spokesman Gordy Wright said John Rogers died shortly after being transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. His female passenger, 39-year-old Lisa Matten, of Lawrenceville is listed in stable condition at the hospital.

Wright said a van driven by Roselinde B. Hickman, 67, of Gainesville turned in front of the motorcycle driven by Rogers.

Possible charges againt Hickman are pending the completion of an investigation, Wright said.
