A crew works this past month to renovate the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex at the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus. The fitness center is being expanded and improved.
Renovations are well underway on the fitness and science buildings at the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus, and a parking deck that was under construction there has reopened. Two classrooms in the science building are being remodeled into one laboratory for the biology and chemistry departments for a $1 million price tag, funded by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents’ budget for small capital projects. The fitness center in the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex, meanwhile, is getting bigger by 13 feet in length, which will allow the addition of classroom space and a front entrance and office area.
