Months after a sting investigation regarding alleged prostitution practices and other illegal activities, two women were charged Tuesday, Aug. 21, with keeping a place of prostitution at the same locations.
Myung Hee Lim, 49, of Oakwood, and Shun Zi Li, 48, of Duluth, were both charged with keeping a place of prostitution and masturbation for hire. Lim also faces a charge of prostitution.
Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Lt. Don Scalia said Lim and Li were on bond for prior arrests in April “at the same location during an undercover sting operation.”
Lim was arrested in the 3000 block of McEver Road, and Li was arrested in the 200 block of John Morrow Parkway.
City Manager Bryan Lackey said the business licenses were revoked in May for the five massage parlors previously investigated by the MANS unit.
Scalia said he was unaware of the business license situation for these new arrests.
“They were back open for business when we went in there,” Scalia said Wednesday, Aug. 22, though the undercover sting operation took place Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Lim was previously charged with keeping a place of prostitution, and Li was previously charged with masturbation for hire and massage without a license.
