Two people and a pet died Monday morning after a mobile home caught fire in Clarkesville, according to authorities. Habersham County Assistant Fire Chief Jason Davey said the department arrived around 6:20 a.m. Monday on Waterway Court in Clarkesville to a singlewide mobile home fire. Adam Jeremiah Chitwood, 28, and Tina Marie Chitwood, 44, were transported from the scene to Habersham Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead in the emergency room, Davey said.
