Two charged with robbing taxi driver on Flat Creek Drive

Authorities charged two men with armed robbery Thursday morning after a taxi driver was robbed on Flat Creek Drive, according to Hall County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kiley Sargent.

Frankie Andrew Clark and Antone Cortez Hall each were charged with armed robbery and aggravated obstruction, according to a press release. Clark also was charged with felony obstruction.

A Uni-Taxi driver was robbed Thursday on Flat Creek Drive just off Browns Bridge Road shortly after picking up two men around 2:15 a.m. near ST&T Mobile Home Park.

The two men asked to be taken to a location on Browns Bridge and the driver was robbed after being directed to a location on Flat Creek Drive, according to a press release.

After the robbery, two male suspects fled on foot toward Browns Bridge with the victim’s wallet and an undetermined amount cash.

Clark and Hall were found in the area after a search by deputies using a dog, according to a press release.

The taxi driver was struck in the head by the robbers, but the driver did not require medical treatment.

The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division.
