Jill Smith and Peter Delaney may have been having an affair, but whether they started a fire that killed Smith's husband will be up to a jury to decide, attorneys for the two said this week as their clients' trial began.
Smith and Delaney are accused in the Oct. 22, 2010, blaze that killed Michael Smith at the Smith home on Kennemore Drive in South Forsyth.
Jill Smith and Delaney pleaded not guilty in March to one count each of murder, felony murder and first-degree arson.
