Three suspected gang members have been charged in the June armed robbery of a taxicab driver, authorities said.

Jordan Manzo, 17, of Lula, Antonio Jesus Davila, 17, of Gainesville, and Jesus Alberto Flores, 18, of Gainesville, were arrested Thursday by the Gainesville-Hall County Gang Task Force, officials announced Friday night.

Lt. Scott Ware said the teens are either members or associates of the criminal street gang known as Mexican Vatos Society, or MVS.

Late on the evening of June 8, a driver for Fiesta Taxi Service picked up two men at the Kangaroo convenience store at the corner of Calvary Church Road and Candler Highway.

The men had the driver take them to Marlette Road, where they tied his hands to the steering wheel using "zip ties" and robbed him at gunpoint, authorities said.

The robbers took $120.

Manzo and Davila are charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and violation of the Georgia street gang terrorism act.

Flores is charged as a party to the crime of armed robbery and violation of the Georgia street gang terrorism act. The suspects remain in the Hall County jail.
