Three are arrested in separate drug cases

Two Cleveland men have been arrested after police say they found them in possession of $4,000 worth of prescription painkillers.

Hall County sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Noel Key, 21, and Gerald Archie Roe, 66, when both men delivered 100 oxycodone tablets to a pre-determined location Friday in Clermont.

Both men were booked at the Hall County jail and charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute, according to a news release from the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.

In an unrelated case, a 21-year-old Gainesville man was arrested Friday on suspicion that he planned to sell marijuana.

William Joseph Mealor was arrested in the 3400 block of Point View Circle when agents with the Gang Task Force and the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad found him in possession of marijuana, scales and packaging materials, according to a news release.

Mealor was booked in the Hall County jail and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
