Local government officials will meet tonight for the first of three meetings to gather public input on what capital projects should be funded through a new round of special purpose local option sales tax, or SPLOST VII. Officials are projecting that, if approved by voters in a ballot referendum this fall, SPLOST VII will generate about $130 million in revenue.
