A Tennessee man is being held in the Hall County Jail on armed robbery charges after police say he entered a store in the early morning hours Friday and demanded money.

According to Cpl. Kevin Holbrook of the Gainesville Police Department, Jason Phillip Bost, 34, of Pulaski, Tenn. allegedly approached a cashier around 2 a.m. at the CVS in the 100 block of Jesse Jewell Parkway, “not brandishing a weapon, however leading the cashier to believe he had a firearm.”

Holbrook said the cashier complied with the demands and handed over an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect then left the scene in a silver SUV. “An observant witness” was able to get the vehicle description and called 911, he said.

Hall County deputies conducted a traffic stop shortly after 2 a.m. and took Bost into custody without incident.
