Temporary location of Gainesville library will open April 1

The temporary library for the Gainesville branch of the Hall County Library System will open Monday, April 1.

While the main library is being renovated, collections will be housed in the former Turner, Wood and Smith building at 100 Brenau Ave. The building is across Main Street from the regular library location.

The library will have regular hours, according to Library Director Lisa MacKinney. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed Sundays.

The renovated library is expected to reopen in summer 2020.
