The city of Gainesville is working to bring more than three dozen North Hall fire hydrants back to working order, after efforts to extinguish a house fire earlier this month were hampered by access to water. The hydrants were taken out of service because of inadequate water pressure resulting from demand and elevation constraints. The hydrants haven’t worked since January.
