About 100 students from five area schools are set to compete Saturday in the Lanier Regional Technology Fair at Lakeview Academy.

Participants are from Lakeview, Fair Street International Baccalaureate World School in Gainesville, West Hall High School in Oakwood, Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn and Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula.

The event, set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m., is open to students in third through 12th grades. Lakeview is at 796 Lakeview Drive.

The regional contest is part of the annual Georgia Educational Technology Fair.

First-place winners in each category in each region will advance to the state competition, set for March 8 at West Forsyth High School.
