Severe thunderstorms are forecasted to hit overnight throughout North Georgia and could bring isolated tornadoes.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for damaging winds for Hall and other counties in the region.

Showers and storms will develop ahead of a cold front and push into the area between midnight and 6 a.m. Friday, according to the outlook.

The greatest threat will be from a line north of LaGrange to Atlanta to Gainesville. The system is expected to move out of the area by Friday afternoon.
