A Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said a suspect has not been identified in the death of an Oakwood woman whose body was found Feb. 8.

“I don’t think that they have anyone right now that they’re looking at specifically,” Deputy Nicole Bailes said. “But of course they are encouraging anyone with information to still give us a call.”

Holly Fox Strickland, 32, had been missing since the night of

Feb. 3 before her body was found days later behind the home on Raintree Trace where she lived with her ex-in-laws. Bailes said she believed it was the ex-in-laws who reported Strickland missing.

The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide.

Bailes said the sheriff’s office was not releasing information about when or how Strickland died. The medical examiner’s office and Hall County coroner deferred to the sheriff’s office.

“We’re not going to go into that at this point,” Bailes said.
