The Georgia Department of Transportation's plans to build an interchange connecting Martin Road on the east side of Interstate 985 to H.F. Reed Industrial Parkway on the west side have been met with fury and opposition from many South Hall residents. Thursday, those residents presented a petition with nearly 400 signatures to the Hall County Board of Commissioners and urged local officials to oppose the project. Residents have told The Times that there will be too many exits within a 6-mile stretch, resulting in major traffic congestion and overcrowded schools.
