The suspect in a shooting near Cornelia has been located and taken into custody, according to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the shooting in the area of Garrison Road between Garner Road and Pea Ridge Road.

Deputies had been searching this morning for an “armed and dangerous suspect” after the shooting, according to the Facebook page. A helicopter and K-9 units assisted in the search.
