A Connecticut man has been charged with aggravated battery in a Sunday morning stabbing in the 5000 block of Hulsey Circle, Gainesville.

Dustin William Gold, 31, is accused of stabbing a 38-year-old Los Angeles man in the stomach, said Sgt. Kiley Sargent, spokesman for the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a house on Hulsey Circle at 6:15 a.m. after hearing a report of a stabbing.

Witnesses said the two men had been working together since Thursday and the stabbing resulted from a verbal argument that turned violent.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is in stable condition.
