This week Gainesville gas prices are up, putting it in the top three most expensive Georgia metro market prices with an average of $2.75 per gallon of regular unleaded gas.
AAA -The Auto Club Group revealed in its weekly report on Monday, April 29 that Gainesville fell under Athens, which had an average of $2.76 per gallon and Atlanta with its $2.79 per gallon.
On average Georgia drivers are now paying $2.73 per gallon for regular unleaded gas, which is 3 cents more than last week and 13 cents more than this time last month.
“Gasoline prices nationwide continue to rise,” Montrae Waiters, AAA-The Auto Club Group spokeswoman said in a press release. “The market price for crude and gasoline are major factors as well as local supply and demand.”
The least expensive Georgia metro markets per gallon of regular unleaded gas include Albany at $2.61, Columbus at $2.59 and Warner Robins at $2.59.
