Red, white and blue lined the field behind Sardis Enrichment School on Monday, as students waved American flags and applauded as servicemen and servicewomen walked by them. “I think it’s very important for our kids to understand that the reason they get to play football, they get to play Nintendo, they get to come to school, they get to read, (the reason) they get to do whatever it is they do is because of these ladies and gentlemen who have served our country,” Sardis principal Neil Yarrington said. This was the first year Sardis held a Walk of Honor for veterans.
