It was a double dose of fun for some Sardis Enrichment School students Thursday morning.

Not only was it “Pajamas Day,” but four classes were able to shake a leg under the guidance of dance pedagogy students from Brenau University.

“I have a lot of energy,” a couple of students said during the dances.

“I want to do it again,” a student in another class remarked.

Brenau professor John Streit’s dance pedagogy class will also welcome one of the elementary classes to the school’s East Campus dance studio at Featherbone Community for ballet and jazz classes Friday. Streit and Peter Swan will lead a ballet class, while Rachel Shaw will lead a jazz class.

Sardis teacher Brad Pelham, who is coordinating the Thursday and Friday dance events with Brenau, told the Brenau students, “We appreciate you coming. This means a lot to us.”
