A total of 115 runners and walkers took part Saturday in the inaugural Sheriff’s Summer Sprint 5K fundraiser road race. The event’s proceeds will benefit the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes. Participants braved the hilly Allen Creek Road course, and were greeted by Sheriff Gerald Couch at the start and finish.
