The Georgia Department of Transportation warns drivers that continuing work on four road projects will cause lane closures next week in Hall County.

The affected areas are:

  • U.S. 129: The inside shoulders will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday from Ridge Road to Athens Street for removal of curbs and gutters. The inside lane may also be closed for equipment to work in the area.
  • Ga. 369: One lane will be closed at a time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday starting at Limestone Parkway to McEver Road to replace asphalt that didn’t meet DOT standards. Lane closures will be about « mile long and only at the areas that must be replaced.
  • Interstate I-985 at Atlanta Highway: Just north of Exit 16, crews will be working on the new bridge over the interstate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crews will close only one lane at a time of I-985 north and south each day.
  • Winder Highway: Crews will close one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for asphalt work at Reed Farm Road. Traffic will be flagged through the work zone.
