While farmers, gardeners and growers typically spend the summer with plenty of crops, many children find themselves without enough food during the summer months. Katie Rose Dionne, a rising North Hall High School senior, decided a year ago to help her hungry classmates in the summer. “I was at my school cafeteria, and many times on Fridays the cafeteria ladies will leave out extra foods they have,” Dionne said.
