Raises for Hall County Schools employees is what Superintendent Will Schofield calls “the big story” for the school system’s fiscal year 2017 budget plans. Schofield told the Board of Education in March he anticipates recommending a budget with the raises, despite having to use the system’s fund balance to pay for it. The school board will hold its first budget work session Monday.
