A flood watch will remain in effect for Gainesville and Hall County until 7 p.m. today. Showers and thunderstorms are forecasted after 8 a.m., with heavy fog likely lingering into the early afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, and new rainfall amounts could total between a quarter and half an inch.
