A rabies alert has been issued for the Abercrombie Road area in North Hall County after a rabid raccoon came in contact with a dog. The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and confirmed positive for rabies on Monday. This is the first confirmed case of 2013.
