It’s a “brain-teasing, crowd-pleasing, good-time romp,” and it lasted for hours Tuesday night. The 24th annual Spelling Bee sponsored by the Times and the Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy took place Tuesday at Brenau University’s Pearce Auditorium. The event’s proceeds support adult literacy programs in Gainesville and Hall County.
